The BQ24727 series Charging ICs are advanced synchronous battery charger controllers designed for 1- to 4-cell Li-Ion and Li-Polymer battery packs. These devices deliver high charging efficiency, intelligent control, and superior thermal performance, making them ideal for notebooks, embedded systems, and portable power devices.
The series includes BQ24727R, BQ24727, and BQ727, which share the same electrical characteristics but differ slightly in marking codes and manufacturing batches. All are housed in a compact QFN-20 package, offering excellent thermal dissipation and space-saving PCB integration.
Featuring SMBus programmability, the BQ24727 Charging IC allows the host processor to control charge voltage, current, and adapter limits dynamically. The IC also includes Dynamic Power Management (DPM), MOSFET gate drivers, and protection features such as over-voltage, over-current, and thermal safeguards.
