The Intel JHL6540 is a Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C controller IC from Intel’s Titan Ridge family, designed to provide high-speed data transfer, external display output, and USB-C charging in mainstream laptops, ultrabooks, and business-class systems.
It is commonly used in thin laptops, business notebooks, and compact workstations where Type-C display, Thunderbolt docking, and fast external storage are required. A faulty JHL6540 often causes no USB-C charging, no external display, or non-working Thunderbolt ports.
