The RTS5199-GRT RTS5199 is a high-performance USB 3.0 card reader controller IC developed by Realtek Semiconductor Corp. It provides a single-chip solution for reading multiple memory card formats through a SuperSpeed USB interface.
Supporting USB 3.0 (5 Gbps) and backward-compatible with USB 2.0, the RTS5199 delivers high data throughput while maintaining low power operation and excellent compatibility with major flash card standards such as SD, SDHC, SDXC, MMC, and Memory Stick.
It integrates a USB 3.0 PHY, card interface logic, power management, and embedded microcontroller, minimizing external components and PCB space. The IC also supports Auto SD Voltage Switch, Hot-Plug Detection, and Firmware Upgradability via USB.
